State machines and sequence control

Цель: Изучить тему «State machines and sequence control» и закрепить её практическими заданиями и самопроверкой.

2 акад. часа чтение и разбор теории, решение задач, работа со схемой или виртуальным стендом и проверка понимания.

Основной материал

Complex machines are best described by states and transitions. Example filling station: IDLE -> WAIT_CONTAINER -> FILLING -> SETTLING -> COMPLETE -> EJECT. Each state has outputs; transitions have conditions and timeout.

Benefits

State machine makes sequence explicit, simplifies fault recovery and HMI display. Operator can see «FILLING» rather than infer from 20 bits.

Fault recovery

Every state needs defined response to E-stop/fault. On reset, system may require return-to-home sequence rather than jumping to previous state blindly.

Практическая работа

Create 6-state sequence for tank batch: Empty, Filling, Heating, Holding, Draining, Complete. Define transition conditions and two timeout alarms.

Самопроверка

• What is state?

• What is transition?

• Why timeout each step?

• Why reset strategy important?

• How state improves HMI?
